Question about Passport Translation for IRCC

Hello all,
Glad I found this forum. I am asking this question on behalf of a friend who has received a request from IRCC to submit "all pages of your passport as an electronic color scan" for further processing of their citizenship application.

They have a question about the translation requirements. The passport is from Pakistan and all the personal/biographical info in in English, and all the stamps/visas on the passport are in English so no translation is required for that (even the page numbers are in English, lol).

The only part of the passport that is exclusively in the local language (Urdu) is the last inner back cover of the passport book (image link). My friend explained that this page is generic/standard to all recent Pakistan passports and does not contain anything unique or personalized about the passport holder (it is evidently some generic t&c type of language).

Based on the collective experience of the people on this forum, does my friend need to have a official/certified translation done of that page? or will IRCC already know what it says based on the the hundreds of previous passports they have looked at from Pakistan which have this same exact page?

Your feedback would be greatly appreciated; kindly do mention whether your feedback is based on direct experience or your understanding of the process

Have a good evening and thanks in advance

I'd like to say no translation is needed for that page but if I were him, I'd translate that page too. Seems excessive but IRCC officers have a great range of discretion and if the officer decides to ask for a translation later, that'll only be a waste of time.

Hmm, thank you for your feedback Rajkamalmohanram.

Yes, it does seem excessive to have to pay money and spend time for this, but I understand the point you are making and will convey the same to them.
