Hi,

I'm applying for PR through express entry, and I have recently completed upfront medicals. Before submitting the form I was checking all the documents that I have to upload and I noticed that "Upfron Medical Type" in my eMedical Information Sheet says "Student". I had specifically informed the Medical Center that I am a PNP candidate applying for PR. Also, "IME" is mentioned as "NON EDE"

Is this ok? Or should I get it updated to something else?

I tried called the hospital, multiple times today. But they didn't pick up the call.

So, I searched for threads where other people had the same problem, and I found a few threads which say that "Upfront Medical Type should not matter as the tests conducted are same for Visitor/Student/PR/Worker". Also, the official Canadian government website says that medical assesment is interchangeable, unless specified by medical officer.

I also saw a thread where some mentioned reports cannot be updated after they are sent to IRCC. Its more than a week now since I completed my medicals, So I'm guessing they must have sent it already.

I'm submitting the application with a LOE as mentioned by other people on the forum.

A medical assessment is interchangeable and can be used for other immigration categories, unless the medical officer imposed one of the following limitations on the assessment:
The most commonly used limitations are:
  • Assessed as excessive demand exempt only”. A new immigration medical examination is required if the applicant applies under an immigration category that is no longer excessive demand exempt (e.g. the foreign national applied as sponsored spouse (FC-1) and now applies as Federal Skilled Worker)
  • Assessed as Temporary Resident only”. A new immigration medical examination is required if the applicant applies for permanent resident status or extend his or her stay in Canada.

I never thought to check my emedical when I uploaded back in Feb.
Just for info, I applied under FSW category
- IME: Non-SDE
- Upfront Medical Type - Worker

Medical passed on 22nd Feb 21.
