GSS category possible for SOWP

In order to be eligible for GSS, your spouse and kids must apply together with your application.
Can you please share your timeline from submission of application to decision made?
Hi, Is there an option to expedite their process or any other hope for the dependents applications to be processed sooner. I see most of them are taking months to get processed.
Mine was submitted from US, here are the timeline
Application submitted: 02-june-2021
Biometric instruction: 04-june-2021
Biometric provided: 21-june-2021
Passport requested: 23-june-2021
Stamped passport received: 02-july-2021
Unfortunately there's no expedite processing available. As said above, to benefit from GSS processing, their applications needed to be submitted together with yours.
You are asking a question under GSS with spouse open work permit. Wrong section and not relevant to current discussion.
You need to secure a job offer from an employer in Canada and that employer must obtain an approved LMIA.
It is next to impossible to find employers willing to go through this process and most job offers are scams.
If you want to move to Canada, you should forget about trying to find a job offer and instead focus on applying to immigration through an economic immigration program like Express Entry.
I get that, I was trying to find out if there was any other process that could speed up their processing time. Looks like there is none like that. Thanks for your inputs. I had to keep my application and my dependent application separate because I am US and my dependents are in India. So I was advised to do the application processing separate as there is a significant delay for the application submitted from India.
I exactly have no idea how long it may take if we apply it separately for the dependents. One of the forum member got it processed under GSS for himself and his family in 2-3 weeks. He applied it all together.
I have recently applied for my work permit LMIA exempt (Postdoc). I have applied for my spouse (visitor) and 2 kids (study permit for 7 years old kid and visitor for 3 years old kid). My timeline is:
Application submitted: 26-April-2021
Biometric instruction: 26-April-2021
Biometric provided: 28-April-2021
Medical requested: 28-April-2021
Medical done: 25-May-2021
Medical Passed (both kids): : 29-May-2021
Medical Passed (Myself); : 29-June-2021
Medical Passed (Wife); : 2-July-2021
Last week I received an email from Visa Office Abu Dhabi that my application is in que for review. I hope to get it processed in next few weeks.

In your case, was your's and your family made a separate applications ? Or was it all together ?
Assuming you applied for a SOWP, estimated processing times are 33 weeks. However it's possible it could also take less time.
Unfortunately you do not benefit from the GSS processing times since you applied separately from your spouse.
