February 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

What is abnormal when it comes to cic processing? Nothing. Anything, everything, every way of processing a file is Normal.
My office sent test invites in the last 2 months for the months Jan-Feb2020 to Nov2020. How can this be normal as there is no importance given for the ones applied early Jan-Feb. Speaking of normality applies only to normal people and normal/regular department, not to CIC.

I must say it's hard to maintain our sanity when, like @yma981 pointed, most people from Feb 2020 are talking about the oath, but some of us are still waiting for the test invite
Please, don't take me wrong, I don't blame you guys. I'm actually happy to see that a lot of people are reaching our common goal.

If those 3 are completed then its already Decision Made(you can check in your old ecas). So there wont be interview mostly. Why do you expect an interview instead of oath?

Totally agree the frustration we all are having. But this forum is not for that. Many of us have many urgencies but not typically which cic has and I hear you all. I need it very badly too. I have seen very good progress of my friends who applied in 2019. No one knows how cic is processing we are just putting ours to see routine and keep calm and wait for our numbers. These thoughts if you can make it reach to cic somehow might help. Here we all are trying to understand wats going on. We need to keep stress out its very difficult but thats how it is now. I check status thrice daily . Lets be together and have this done.

Agree, and also this tells who is really lucky. if someone's application moving fast, means they got luck on their side, so they should buy the lottery tickets too, just in case.

Seems like average is 2 months we need to wait to get some major update after Test.

well said, not sure why CIC is not taking out dust on all our applications lying from Feb 2020. When i enquired through web form 2 months back, they just replied me to check the updated tracker for the correct status, that's it. I know some of my friends applied in Feb 2021 got background check completed status last month.

As per CIC timelines, it is 12 months to process citizenship grant, even if we take from AOR received, we are almost there. By Aug 07, i will complete one year from the time of AOR. Very frustrated. Thinking that citizenship will come at least in 1.5 years, i did not even renew my PR card which is going to expire next month. I learned that renewal also takes around 3-6 months. so so frustrated and cant do anything other than waiting and waiting

I feel Calgary office is the slowest in the country at processing applications at the moment.

You could call IRCC call center and ask them. They'll let you know. This can also be seen in the GCMS notes.
