Online citizenship test completed, waiting for next steps

Just wanted to put this back up for others who may face this issue during their tests. Both of us passed so this was not a problem.

1. Definitely DO NOT open a new browser or window during your test. But even if the system detects any activity because of programs running in the background (antivirus, company security patches or updates etc on a work laptop), make sure you hit the "I'm back" button IMMEDIATELY so that they know that you were on the test page and not up to any funny business

2. Tech difficulties are normal and expected. Just stay calm during the test and you will get redirected to the test page and will be allowed to continue the test.

Unfortunately, you'll just have to wait patiently. I know it sucks to not have clarity. Hopefully, the glitch is not the reason your update is delayed. As mentioned above, it didn't impede my results, so hopefully it is not holding yours up too.. And it is just the case of an officer needing to press the "enter" key on his/her computer

I did my test on 2nd and the tracker got marked as "Completed" today. So I'm guessing the update comes in a couple of business days, tops.. I've seen instances of people receiving an update the very next day

thanks for information, when did you receive a test email from CIC? My test has been scheduled from July 2-July 21

It all depends on the officer when he/she reviews the test result. No one knows. As usual its a waiting game and a gamble of luck.

They will update it soon, so you will notice.

Hmmm, a ghost update. Interesting. Not sure what it means but I think there is at least one other report of this happening.

Anyway, might be a good sign that someone is looking into something in your application.

today when i saw all sections are completed expect citizenship ceremony.
When will citizenship ceremony starts is there any gap between the status change to final decision made from in-progress?

This is Decision made. You are in line for oath now.

You could see an update on your dashboard about oath ceremony anywhere between a month and a few months from now.

Hola, so I am not quite sure about the specifics of this process, but what does it mean if I got an invitation for an online test about how close to the end my process is?
I ask because the online stat tracker says that only one of the six separate steps is complete (background verification), four in progress (language skills, physical presence, prohibitions, citizenship test), and one not started (oath ceremony), so to me it felt like there was a ways to go, but my understanding is also that the test happens towards the end of the process.
