VFS does no processing. Only logistics of delivery of docs and the administrative public facing tasks like biometrics.

Okay thanks my file is stuck on decision made from 3 months and i didn't get any mail regarding this can you tell something in this case?

Yaa i understand but my husband called ircc two month ago they said ur file is transferred to china for background check. And my biometric done in my own country visa office ..can you told me that is my file now process by vfs of my country where i did my biometric?

Hi. VFS do not process files. They are just an agent that collect documents and biometrics on behalf of several different embassies. If your file was transferred to China then China Visa office will deal with all things regarding your application. Maybe you can try and email them to find out about your application. Hopefully you will get something positive soon.

It's a handling fee for vfs, moving the stuff they get, etc - call it a file or the docs submission, whatever.

I can't say for certain, was told though that the photos submitted are in fact used for the PR card. Again, whatever, they require a physical photo.

Hi. Just to point out with regards to the photos. I have just received my COPR in the post and the photos that I sent to the embassy last week have in fact been used for the COPR. 1 is attached to the COPR document and the other has just been returned to me in the same photo envelope that I sent them in.

My COPR is a physical document. They sent it in the pre-paid envelope I had to provide!

I just received mine in the post today, but it says not valid for travel across the page. Does yours say that as well. Please tell me that it does because that will stop the panic attack. Thank you.

I believe the not valid for travel language only means that you need a separate visa or eta. It means that on its own it is not a visa. I will check mine at some point to compare but I think it's nothing to worry about.

So I uploaded the documents they asked for and mailed my photos directly to the Immigration Section of the Canadian High Commission.

It sounds like those were the instructions, indeed. It seems perhaps they handle differently for those in the UK, in fact, not a lot of clarity between different EU countries.

Ours say the same as yours, as @armoured said, probably not valid without visa or eTa.

Does anyone still waiting for AOR ? Every time we call IRCC they simply say that our application is opened on 29th March & its just matter of waiting. I don't know how long we are supposed to wait. Really frustrating to apart from each other for more than a year.

When we called IRCC, they said R10 completeness is done & BG is in process. I don't how they are performing these steps even before AOR1. Does anyone knows about such process ?

Hello it says that because, like armoured said, it's not a visa or eta. It's also because you can travel with your PR card but not with COPR, even tho they both mean you are a PR. Don't know if I made sense but don't know how else to word it...

Hi. You are most welcome. No I did not provide any pre paid envelope. I just sent my photos Royal Mail Signed For. The Embassy sent my documents the same way. I think that because we are in England they probably just absorb the cost of postage. Good luck with everything.
