This is why I ask the question. There is no indication that the husband is a PR or citizen.

Think a lot more information is needed from @hibah1985 including what their status is in the US and Egypt if she was in Canada long enough to have a child yet was able to be deported to the US. It looks like she may have some sort of status in the US. Unsure of her other 2 children. This is why I ask the question.
I believe there are members who are 2020 applicants still waiting for AIP. Congratulations to all who had theirs.

My husband doesn’t have any status in Canada. He was born in Egypt but is a Sudanese citizen.Sorry to hear that. May I ask why you did not consider sponsorship? Is your husband Canadian or PR? We have similar case - I am Canadian but cannot sponsor my partner because he has a 5-year misrepresentation ban from his previous PR application. He almost got deported in May 2021.
he was refused HC twice and only got AIP after we applied third time. So you can keep fighting. If your husband is still in Canada and not Canadian, he can apply HC again. If he is PR/Canadian, you can try sponsorship with humanitarian relief.

Mohamed doesn’t have any status in Canada or the USA. The fact that you are American meant that you would have never received asylum in Canada. The fact that he lived in the US for 17 years means that it is extremely difficult to prove that he needs protection due to persecution in Sudan (not sure if he has status in Egypt). Not sure who advised that you should come to Canada with your US status. This situation will now cause quite a lot of problems since he will not be able to return to the US but you can't come to Canada unless you can immigrate via economic immigration programs. What level of education do you have?Mohamed doesn’t have any status in Canada or the USA. He was born in Egypt but is a Sudanese citizen.
Hibah is Palestinian/ American. ( lived in the USA since age 10 and is a US citizen. Mohamed lived in the USA for 17 years and is a failed USA refugee claimant. He was also denied a USA permanent residence even though he is married to a US citizen and has US citizen kids. Reason- entering the USA without a Visa back in 2000.
This is exactly the situation. Mohamed is stuck in Canada. Hibah and the kids are stuck in the USA. Hibah education: Associate degree. Also took the CELPIP Test. Scored really high (11’s) but no work history since 2017.The fact that you are American meant that you would have never received asylum in Canada.
