I think you may need to ask your company to provide you with a letter that states you work full time, 12 hours a day and 60 hours a week. No need to mention your shift or time-off.
That's what I would have done if I had to.
What if the role is 1 month on / off on rig ,but paid the same on leave too ?

Have you come across any case like that.

I worked in a similar way as spend few weeks on rigs and then off rig at base. in my employment letter HR indicated weekly working hours as 40

SO did you work during the off time also?
Means after getting off the rig.
In my case, I was on leave pay.

Dear All,

Could someone please advise which NOC to choose 2145 or 8232? I am Well cementing field engineer working for Baker Hughes Pressure pumping division. My main duties are design and laboratory testing of cementing jobs. I do not work as operator or supervisor at the field. The job is mainly office based with occasional field visits to support cementing job execution.

Has anyone applied as cementing engineer for Express entry? Cannot find information which NOC is correct in my case.
Thank you in advance.

Are you currently working in Canada? If not I would only consider immigrating if you are offered a transfer since the industry is pretty tough in Canada.

Thank you for reply. Looks like NOC 8412 is more related to my job.

No, I do not work in Canada. Plan is to study masters Mechanical or Petroleum in 2022 and then apply for jobs. In the meantime having active express entry profile hoping to get invited by PNP.

Have you looked at the oil industry in Canada? Many never got their jobs back after the last layoffs. If you have a good job abroad I would really investigate whether it makes sense. You can speak to your employer about the realities of the industry in Canada.

I worked as a petroleum technician too in maintenance and repair of tools. only 1 point under noc 2212 matches my entire description but I couldnt find anything else. any other petroleum professional out here ??
I'am working for Halliburton Wireline services as a logging maintenance technician and I've been looking for my NOC . I think 2243 is more suitable. I think that the NOC is more related to the duties than the field you are working in. any suggestion will be appreciated.
