I was wondering, how much is concidered as large, lump sum by canadian autorities in my six month bank statement ?

Thank you for the link. I'm already aware of the needed sum and what is accepted.. etc. I was just wondering how much money can I add to my bank account at once.

Whatever the amount may be, as long as it's over the minimum, has to be there for more than 6 months. The statement you will print and submit will be a 6 month statement. Before those 6mths, you can put whatever amount, in whatever quantity, it doesn't matter as IRCC will not see that. Stop over thinking things.

The requirement is to have the minimum funds ready - not that you have to had it for six months. You may be called to explain any flows that look "out of the ordinary". I hadn't the total amount for all six months though I showed significantly more than the minimum (around 2.5 times, as I recall). I was ready to show the source of funds as salary/proceeds from liquidating assets, but no questions were raised.
