Hello there! During my PR application, I had read online on the IRCC website that I'm supposed to write down my place of birth as per what is shown on my passport. The problem is my passport only contains the state that I was born in (within my country) and not the city/town. I decided to write down my state due to the IRCC website asking to write as is on the passport. Later on, I sent a webform to them to clarify this further that this place of birth is not my town/city fo birth but rather my state of birth but that since it was written on my passport, I chose to put down the state in the application. Furthermore, I also clarified what my city/town of birth was in the inquiry.

I just recently got my CoPR and it is showing my state of birth in the place of birth section as opposed to my city/town of birth that I had clarified with them. In the future, when I apply for citizenship, would this cause a concern? Do I write as is on my CoPR despite it being my state in the place of birth and not city/town or should I write down my actually city/town and clarify all of this again? Should I re-clarify with IRCC again right now in regards to the place of birth on my CoPR?

It will not cause any issues. However, you can send a webform and request IRCC to amend the document.

If not, then you will have to follow the process
