Hi everyone,

I applied from outside Canada under the Express Entry program (AOR December 2019). I feel like I should raise a web form asking about progress or at least a tentative timeline. Do you have any suggestions on what I could ask about?

My account has the following information:
Eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Medical: You do not need a medical exam. We will send you a message if this changes.
Additional documents: Not applicable
Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.
Biometrics: Completed January 2020
Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

I raised a webform in June 2020 and received the following response:
· The application meets the eligibility criteria under the immigration program for which you have applied,
· The eligibility review is complete.
· The security background verifications are valid.
· The criminal background verifications are valid.
· The medical examination results on file are valid.

What do you think?
I know this might be the case for everyone, but I have been putting my life and career on hold for a while now. I have a lot of decisions I need to make and knowing if/when I get accepted would be crucial to my decision making - sorry if this is perceived as whining or negativity, it's not. I just would like some thoughts/advice from fellow applicants.

Best,
S

Hi @legalfalcon my AOR is Dec 2019 and my file got approved and copr created but not issued just before the lockdown in March 2020. Since then, there has been no update. As Canada has just lifted restrictions, what should be my course of action now? Thanks

Are you based in US and part of FSW-O?

You just have to wait for IRCC to reach out to you. As more applications get final decision and Visa offices open up, you will be contacted and documents will be issued to you.

hi,@legalfalcon , i got my aor in Dec 2019, based on the GCMS i got, currently in my case: eligibility met, but everything else is still in process, the medical exam has expired already. what should I do now? should I do medical exam again before IRCC asks me?
many thanks in advance?

Can i do upfront medical as medical has expired and there is no remedical request from ircc
I think you can do upfrond re-medical but you can also wait and see what happens. Sometimes they extend medicals.

My medical was expired in Feb 2021 and according to my GCMS notes it will be extended. I don't see any extension yet so I think sometimes it can take time.

@legalfalcon
It had already been extended upto april 2021 and that was written in gcms notes even extended validity has expired that is why i m asking

If your med extension has also expired, then you just have to wait for IRCC to redo the meds. As per the last policy IRCC will extension meds once, whether they will do it a second time, needs to be seen.

I am based in US and part of FSW-O. Although no COPR have been generated yet. My AOR is also Dec 2019. Just waiting and waiting. Is there any action which US based applicants can take?
Hey, I am also based in USA and my AOR was generated in Dec 2019. I am also in the same boat, waiting, waiting and waiting. I even requested MP to get some information regarding my file. He could manage to get same information which I already had. So dont know what else to do except sitting with some more patience.
