This is amazing news!! Can you share your timeline! Do you know which office your application is?
Congrats! That is great news, thanks for sharing! I see you are a December, 2019 applicant. Is there a reason other than pandemic it took them so long to finalize your case? I mean have you been requested to provide any additional documents?

Only thing we can see is that they requested second medical exam because the first one was expired after one year. That probably added about two months delay. Other than that we weren't requested additional documents or interview etc.
What does the letter say?
Assuming it says submit through the vfs visa application center, go here:
https://visa.vfsglobal.com/tur/en/can/apply-visa
Select apply for a visa then click on submit passport. Follow the instructions there and contact vfs if not clear.
You can send everything to VFS in Ankara or Istanbul. Along with what you need to send as per the email, also include VFS consent form (get it from their website), a paper that has the return address and contact information, and receipt of 189.5 TRY payment to VFS from your bank.

Our application was received in November of 2019 and still nothing. You were the only one I had seen here from 2019 besides myself.

My wife who is in Canada applied for me on July 2019. I finished medical and biometric by the end of 2019. On August 2020 they requested additional documents and exactly four months later, again they requested same documents. Finally they gave me pre-arrival letter on 4th of March this year and still waiting for PPR. Two weeks ago we submitted WEB Form to Ankara VO, but no reply yet.
Can you please confirm which additional documents you had to prove them twice?
Like the rental agreement of the apartment in Toronto, my Shengen visa details, T4 which is belongs to my wife.
That is so strange that they requested a rental agreement and T4. I believe a document checklist already has a requirement to provide an employment letter or recent notice of tax assessment to confirm sponsor's income when applying. Has your wife been previously living with you and just recently came to Canada? I'm just trying to figure out why would they need a rental agreement.
Has anyone received any updates from Ankara visa office? If yes, please share when you applied. The last time I heard from them was early February... I have seen ppl in other forums who applied in September, 2020 from India etc and already arrived to Canada.

- April 22, 2021 - Received the AOR 1
- April 22, 2021 - Sponsorship approved
- April 23, 2021 - Medical request letter received (the letter also said that the application will be forwarded to the Visa Office in Ankara, Turkey)
- April 27, 2021 - Medical exam completed
- April 29, 2021 - Medical exam passed
