hi everyone! may i ask, do canada still continue processing your application like background and eligibility check while waiting for their requested additional medical test? or they put onhold of everything? ive seen somewhere, where canada made a decision even though the additional medical test they've requested is still not done. thank you so much in advance!

I had my approval while waiting for test results on additional medical tests. But this was back in 2018 and additional medical test was for high blood pressure.

how long did you wait for your approval after your additional test? what visa did you apply?
I did an upfront medical test because I applied under SDS. It took me 1 month from filing to approval. 7 days after my upfront medical, the clinic already forwarded the result to IRCC even though there were still pending additional tests.
But this was in 2018, way before the pandemic. I’ve read from this forum that approval these days is very unpredictable...

Yeah i know that because in the email they mentioned that they will not take any decision before the medical request i recieved the standard letter of refusal
