I tried my MP but the staff didn't provide much help. They just sent an inquiry on behalf of me. I had to follow up after a month and they sent me the IRCC reply which was somehow a typical reply. I asked the MP again to follow a few months later, and the MP's office staff replied stating that their records show that they already submitted an inquiry before. I requested them to send another one and they did and I am still waiting. I will follow up in a week or so.

So I suggest if no one get back to you, try to follow up in a month or so.

Hi guys,
we all have the same problem. It seems IRCC is busy with new programs and they are not processing our cases. That's is why I wrote to the prime minister. you may wish to do so:
here is the link:
https://pm.gc.ca/en/connect/contact
maybe they pay attention if several complaints go to them.
I did before and the Prime Minister office replied the next day saying this is within the jurisdiction of the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship. They forwarded my letter to IRCC and IRCC replied with typical replies after a month.

Let see how yours will come along.

Does anyone of you guys has a representative/attorney? would that be helpful? Can attorneys or lawyers put pressure or make any difference with the application process at this stage?
