Timeline for Spouse Open Work Permit (India)

Hello Guys,

I am about to apply for Study and SOWP for Canada. Can you please mention your timeline so we all know how much time does it take.

Winter 2021 intake..classes started and 1 semester is over.. Currently summer semester is going on and student is still in india.

BIL is biometric invitation letter. Normally it will be sent the next day after submitting the application. As the VACs are closed, he cant submit the biometrics. The process will start only after submitting the biometrics. And I am worried about that as my supervisor asked me to be in canada by july.

have u taken one year course or two year course,
cz my wife has taken one year course nd she is in canada her SP expiry date is 31 dec 2021, she will apply for SP extension in sept my main concern is if my decision on SOWP dosent comes in next 2 months then my wife permit will be left for only 3 months nd it can put negative impact on my file but i have attached the sept 21 intake course LOA in my SOWP ND EXPALINED THAT MY WIFE STUDY PERMIT WILL EXPIRE ON 31 DEC BUT SHE HAS TRAKEN ANOTHER COURSE IN SEPT INTAKE ND WILL BE APPLYING FOR SP EXT IN SEPT KINDLY CONSIDERED THIS SITUATION

CAN VISA OFFICER GIVES REFUSAL TO MY SOWP APPLICATION IF ONLY 3 OR 2 MONTHS LEFT FOR MY WIFE STUDY PERMIT

Two years course, thought its better to take two year

I think if your purpose of travel is strong and have good financial support documents it would be fine and make sure to show the home tie strong.

My wife timeline is
Jan 21 intake
Ppr- 24 feb
Reached canada -17 april
Course will finish on - 13 august
Next course starts- Sept 7
Study permit expiry date- 31 dec 2021
Will apply for study permit extension in sept
I have attached the sept intake LOA in my SOWP, i hope VO considered this nd will not make any decision by seeing that my wife course will finish on 13 august
