It's getting to be so long and sooooo boring waiting. Our issue is that he really needs to go back to the UK to take care of some stuff, but you're effectively paralized because it's not easy to travel back quickly if you get the invite...
I am in a similar situation too. I have some outstanding issues to sort out in my home country which would easily take 8-12 months. And if I don't get to it by start of next year, I start bleeding money. Looking at the mid-2019 applicants frustrations, I am getting stressed out of late. It really sucks!

Can we ask them to put the test on hold as we are out of country ? How do we contact them ?
The email you got for test should have an attachment that has instructions to contact them for rescheduling the test.
Well, depends. If the applicant is a minor under 14 (no oath required), then the application is approved and is considered "Complete". However, if it is an adult over 54, then the status will change to "Decision Made" and then the applicant has to wait for oath.
Yes, if you're 55 years or older, the next step is approval of your application. Though I am not sure if one still requires interview in that scenario.
