No, as long as you meet the CEC criteria. Most people that get NOI have relatives and/or job offers in Alberta

My query is about proof of funds.

Do I need to show proof of funds for express entry ?

Do you have authorization to work in Canada? If not, you need proof of funds for the total number in your family.
