Been somewhat slack during the last umpteen months of Covid and allowed my PR card to expire without worrying to renew it, not expecting to travel any time soon. Been living here as a PR for over 10 years now with Canadian family and full time employment. Just found out that if the US border opens I might have to travel to the US within the next 3 weeks, something I was doing on a monthly basis prior to Covid. Meet all residency requirements and not worried about issues with renewal just been slack due to Covid, now seeing process takes approximately 80 day’s. In short this is a small hop across the border and so regardless of PR card would be a driving trip, is it possible to make this journey with an expired PR card? What paperwork should I take to help the border crossing if it is possible?

I think original COPR (& Passport) should work.
