Hi folks, I hope all of you are doing well in this stressful time. My first application was in June 2020, like most of the students I received AIP on 3rd Sept, but unfortunately, on Feb 21 my file was refused. After receiving I started online classes and even after getting the refusal I took a gamble and continued with the classes. I re-applied after 4 days of getting refusal and the medical update & review started on March 30th. While re-applying I didn't change any document just explained the reasons for rejection in the new Letter of Explanation.

As of now, IRCC requested few letters such as; Updated LOA, GIC and was asked for re-medical. There are few things where I am confused while re-applying I uploaded the updated LOA & LOE and yes off course GIC, why I was asked to re-upload the documents. Furthermore, my medical was expiring on 24th May 2021 and got a re-medical request on 11th May 21. When I already passed the medical and updated it to the account why they asked for the re-medical and I e-mailed the concerned bank and requested an updated GIC statement or certificate and uploaded it to the account.

Re-medical was done on 17th May and updated in the account on 5th June and got BVL on 8th June and like you all waiting for the final decision.

When you re apply you re upload all the documents because it is viewed as a new file, you write a detailed SOP addressing points that the officer used to refuse your Study application the first time.

Though you have your medical updated it was to expire by 11th May which makes you inadmissible to Canada. Now that you have updated your medical, you are good for an year.

What did the bank give you? With regards to GIC, Updated GIC?

I saw those cases from India. You can check in CIP study abroad group. 2 days back post threads.
What is the issue w thouse 5 cases? What is so unique? Why did they call and got the rejection status? Someting is missing here.
We need to know timeline too

You need to contact those people and ask them. I’m referring to a thread I read, I don’t know them personally.

Yes, I know when we re-apply it considered a new case, what I was saying when documents are already uploaded while re-applying, what's the point of asking docs again. I request the bank to sent me the updated GIC, with the current date and that's it. I could have uploaded the old one but I didn't maybe because VO wants to verify things as I have continued with studies, didn't changed the course, or took the deferment.

Hey it's a good thing you sent updated GIC. I sent my old GIC investment direction letter from one year ago , but wrote in my SOP that it was unused. Hope it wont cause any delay. VO can always verify. Should I demand a new investment direction letter from Scotiabank now, you make me wonder.. :)

I don't think it will cause an issue while refiling even I uploaded the old GIC doc, even mentioned GIC in the Letter of explanation but as of now when I got the request letter from the IRCC, they gave me 30 days of time to upload, instantly sent the mail to HSBC and got the reply within 5 minutes, so uploaded, which shows the date of the amount deposited and current date.

Yeah good, you tried to upload as many things in updated form as you could. Good luck!

Moreover, till the time you don't get a letter request to upload GIC it's all cool but yes in case if you get the request to upload it, will be better if you can get an updated letter from the bank and upload to your account. I don't think it will be beneficial to upload any document which wasn't asked or requested.

Sure. I will ask my bank and keep it handy just in case IRCC requests it. Thank you!
