@legalfalcon If I change my address in CEC application do you think it might cause more delays? My current application is in CPC Ottawa and I moved to Ottawa from Etobicoke, so should I change the address? My permanent address is still in Etobicoke where I have my uncle living there, so would it be better to change it? My status:

AOR May 30th, 2020
Eligibility: Passed
Security: Did not start yet
Criminality: In process (final stage as per the agents)
Medicals expired in December 2020 but no info if it got extended or not

It's taking forever and it's very frustrating, don't know how to progress in life at this point!

Thanks!
As long as your do not move to Quebec it does not matter. Also, an applicant it is your responsibility to update your address with IRCC.

It will have no impact on the processing.

I have started to get a feeling that about > 95% May 2020 AOR folks have already gotten COPRs. Looks like just me left, maybe very few others like me. Unfairness at its peak, never seen anything like it.

AOR May 25 here. Same story and also they asked me to redo the medical. They didnt extend mine. So, no COPR anytime soon :)
They didn't even say anything about my medicals nor requested them through the portal, which expired on December 20, 2020, so I don't even know if I need to redo my medicals or not! My AOR is May 30th, 2020.

This is ridiculous for me. They process your file for a year without any explanation why your file is so different. Why is it so much complex and hard to process compared to thousands others, who already got COPR. To make it worse they ask you pay again and redo it.

Congrats!!

Good to see early 2020 finalized. But I’m wondering if the only reason is MP request...

Thanks and indeed, my application process has speed-up in last 3 weeks when I contacted my MP.
Happens with some officers but not every officer will try to speed up...in my case officer DA20220 i contacted MP twice and they made 2 enquiries for 1st one they didnt know about my biometrics was submitted (dumbest answer i ever heard) when it shows in my profile which biometric file number and everytime i call IRCc agent can see i submitted biometrics on nov16,2020..and so they updated it on file on march 31st 2021 after MP office enquiry(not sure what does it mean) which clearly shows im doing their work by letting them know that i have submitted my biometrucs...and they didnt even respond to MP enquiry for first time..i got to know this when ordered GCMS notes

2nd equiry made on may18th 2021 no updates in between after biometrics update for the 1st enquiry and recieved response saying file updated march 31st 2021 and there is no timeframe for any processing of the file and due to covid processing delays yada yada yada...same sh*t..will finalize asap

I dont know why they have this covid problem for Q12020 applicants not for Q12021 applicants..
No timeframe agree but that doesnt mean they can just delay the process as they wish
IRCC has to look for what does ASAP mean...from march31,2021 to till date that duration deosnt mean ASAP anywhere in the world...
Its pretty clear like how everywhere system works when there are backlogs only officers assigned to them have to look at every other offucer will be having their own things to do even if they are free they would prefer having free time rather than handling someone's unfinished work...so i hope some universal power might wake up this DA20220 officer atleast to get back to files he got assigned from Q12020
