Anyone have an idea of how long it would take for an update in citizenship application tracker after Test taken process -> to complete !!

It varies from case to case. In my case, it got updated in couple of days.

Hello All,

My status is showing AOR date not the file processing date. I sent file on May 14, 2020 and got AOR in September 2020 I got eCAS status updated on December 07 for starting process on my file but in new application tracker portal, its still showing September not December. Background and other section showing "In Progress" as well.

Anyone in same boat?

All except citizenship ceremony (not started) on a new tracker have been updated to completed on June 8th.

Old tracker shows - decision made!!!
Waiting for an oath email, hopefully no interview at this point

I see that the June applicants being invited for the test is twice that of May applicants - I know this May thread is a quiet one but I would encourage May applicants to update us when they get the invite. I am a May applicant and impatient!!!

Applied for parents (senior citizens, both in single application) by end of Ap 2020r. from Toronto.

Application received May 5th, 2020
AOR Sep 23rd , 2020 - Dad
AOR Oct 13th, 2020 - Mom (since I wrote back and followed up, probably they missed to process both applications together)

In progress Dec 8th, 2020 (both)
Background verification completed on Feb 12th, 2021

Language Skills is not applicable, Physical Presence is not an issue and I have given the details, There are no prohibitions,
The BGC from PR should work now as they have been here since the PR and even prior to that for 2+ yrs on PGP Supervisa.
Citizenship Test is not applicable for senior citizens I believe. SO it must be direct Oath Taking.

Have called and followed up and written on webform with IRCC but no help. They just say that we have to wait and case office would let us know/reach us when ready.

They meet the required # days and over that when we applied and have been here for straight over 4 yrs and 3 months now with very minimal days on travel out of the country.

How long is this going to take and how can I expedite this ?
I have written citing the family situaion and need to IRCC and they have responded that this is not the criteria for urgent processing.

I will be close to applying for PR renewal (8 months before expiry) which would be early July for my parents.
Not sure if I should do but the renewal card timelines are at least 6 months now I believe.

Parents would like to get the citizenship and PP and then I would need a few months lead time to surrender old PP and get the paper work for OCI (India) and then have them travel. They have been impatient and would like to travel sometime this yr with the new PP as they both have lost a bunch of their siblings (and some others in final stages) in this period and the apartment back home has been locked for 4+ yrs now and need some maintenance.

We are also looking at a move on work for a couple of yrs (in the next 4-5 months which I have been holding off) and need to have my parents settled here before we move. Would appreciate any help and inputs if anyone could help. Thanks in advance.

We cant expedite. Cant do anything. We just need to wait. Its CIC.
Watch the processing time of PR renewal and renew it if they are going to travel this year if the application is pending till that time. But it should be done this year i think as they dont have any test hence no delay from your end.

Thanks. I hope for the same and also reached to local MP for our are who said he will check and see what he can do as the delay is just due to COVID.
The file if opened to process must not have any hold and must move to oath taking.

Let me hope for the best. You can add this to the tracker and I will update if any further info.

First check basic detail status at https://cst-ssc.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login (this is the new tracker online for all, not sure if you know about it). Check for both of them.
