I see. Coz AUH office really is unfair to mature applicants. I got rejected recently and waiting for GCMS notes and will apply from India. So did you mention in your SOP that you are working in UAE or that you returned permanently ?
I lost my job last year and came back permanently. And I wrote that inspite of working so many years in the UAE I came back to my country. Apply from India, and be disgustingly honest. I think that works

I am also in the same situation.First time applying.
I applied from BAHRAIN thru a consultancy based in Kerala. Applied on May 6th
Biometrics done on May 10th
They did background check on May 10th
Refusal : May 31st (Abu Dhabi office)
Applied for Sept 2021 Intake

Applied for GCMS notes. Will have to wait until June end.
I am trying to get my SOP revised by a team and then thinking of doing one try before getting the GCMS n trying from India.
What say guys ?

I do not think this will be a wise choice. If you get a refusal again on 2nd time, it would even lessen your chance of approval on 3rd time.

absolutely! Refusals on file only lessen your chances especially if you have made no significant change in your application. Also refusals reflect badly not only in your Canadian application but anywhere you apply for later. Don’t apply immediately after getting a refusal. People got rejected within 6 days of re applying.

this may be a gut feeling. my background check was done the very same day my biometrics was updated. and my result came way ahead of time, where one of my friend who's applied a week after mine hasn't still got any response and many of whom i know who applied earlier than me havnt got any response either. so i hv a strong feeling my file has not been studied or checked properly, n i m aware now my sop wasnt upto the mark. i had submitted every single document as well that must have been on the checklist and even otherwise. so i was wondering of submitting again. i m still in a dilemma though but its better rather than wasting time waiting. i will anyways have to submit after getting the gcms as well. so when i submit this time i will revise the sop.

The second refusal I got within 10 days. Applying from here is like running into a wall. Think before you apply again from here. And my GCMS notes had the exact words and reasons from my first refusal. They didn’t have any issue with my program, academics, money etc. only issue was my husband’s job which they are predicting can be lost anytime due to Expats unstable and temporary status here. I was rejected because I applied for an SOWP for him alongwith my SP application. I don’t have any status here, just under his. So yes they refuse within a week too sometimes. Just know that you should not apply from here, those suggesting you don’t know only 19-20 year old expats from Middle East get it especially if their father is a businessman here. People like us who are here on a temporary status can’t.

Then how come you haven’t realized what is missing in your profile? It’s applying from India. Lol
I believe in mysteries.... well its definitely not gonna work with the AUH VO's though i guess...
I jst thot what incase the gcms takes more than 30-40 days, so why not give it a chance.... what if they might study the case nicely this time n grant me...

Hii,
I applied under sds from UAE being an Indian. Recently I received correspondence letter and BVL after completing my biometrics and medical in UAE. My status now says that ‘we are reviewing your eligibility’
Please advise my chances of getting study permit

How did you apply SDS from UAE? What did you put as your address on IMM1294 forms?

Which visa office is it being processed at? Also you need to give your complete file information like age, choice of program, etc for being to give you suggestions?
