January 14, 2017. Praise God!
I received my test details via email this morning! The timeline was as follows:

- June 4: "Citizenship test status has been updated to In progress" in the tracker. I did not receive an email notification.
- June 7: "Updated" in the tracker. I did not receive an email notification about this update.
- June 8: Received a generic email regarding the tracker ("You can now follow the progress of your application with our new Citizenship Application Tracker."), so I decided to log in just in case, and that's when I noticed the update from June 7.
- June 9: Received the instructions for the citizenship test via email :D
- Test dates: June 14 to July 5

The rumor is that test invites are sent around the 90 day mark from when BG checks were completed. Today is that 90 day mark for me, no sign of test. My application went to "Test Ready" status on March 24th according to GCMS notes. We'll just have to wait and see what happens.
Its more like 120+ days for me - ho hum.

We got a FP request today. Here I thought citizenship exam was next considering applying in March 2020. Oh well.
For those waiting for ceremony oath, I think it will be an in person ceremony if you waited this long. Hopefully IRCC calls in 40,000 people on Canada Day to take their oath. If they vaccinate that many people in a day, this should be a piece of cake. ;);)

Sorry for the delay. It took me 30 days.
So, it took you 30 days from the test passing to the oath invite. Ok.

So, you got an FP request today after your oath invite? Ok.
How can you expect your citizenship exam to be next after your supposed oath invite?

Probably read my previous post before passing off those snarky comments;)
I created this account for my brother. He received FP.
I am the sister who sometimes checks this account; I am a citizen.

Hey all, a few questions for those who have taken their test:

1. This website makes it sound like the test and the interview can happen at the same time: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/canadian-citizenship/become-canadian-citizen/citizenship-test.html - has that been the case for you?
2. That same website says that you have to bring all your passports and travel documents, and proof of your English skills to the test. Is that the case? I have a couple of entry/exit stamps on one of my old passports that I would need to get translated, so I'm wondering if I need to get the translations before I take my test.
3. The guide is loooong and I took many notes, including dates, names, numbers, etc. How did you prepare for your test apart from reading the guide? Did you find any online resources you would recommend to prepare?

Thanks very much :D

Wishful thinking … i am hoping the end of June we all get oath email and I prefer online oath!

You're reading the instructions for the In-person test. Citizenship tests are online now. However, certain urgent processing applicants have taken the test on MS-teams with an officer present (may be they were requested for the documents when taking the test, not sure). But, this is a rare scenario. Interview generally happens AFTER the test.

2. That same website says that you have to bring all your passports and travel documents, and proof of your English skills to the test. Is that the case? I have a couple of entry/exit stamps on one of my old passports that I would need to get translated, so I'm wondering if I need to get the translations before I take my test.

If you are invited for an interview, YES. Get all stamps / markings on the passport that are not in English or French translated. Generally, this step has nothing to do with the test.

3. The guide is loooong and I took many notes, including dates, names, numbers, etc. How did you prepare for your test apart from reading the guide? Did you find any online resources you would recommend to prepare?

Check this. Contains notes from Discover Canada book.

Also, check this. Take free practice tests before you take the test.

Good luck.

Thanks very much :D
