Hi everyone!
After a long wait, we received a re-medical request finally. However I had covid 3 weeks ago and I am recovering from it.
Can you advise when should I book the appt for medical examination ?
My TL is:
applied in Feb 2020( no dependent, first marriage for both of us)
Medical and biometrics: feb 2020
File moved to NDVO: mar 2020
AOR2 : Feb 2021
Remedical: Jun 07,2021

Good day everyone. Our application has formally been approved and the counterfoil document number has been updated in the gckey. Hope to get the passport back this week
It’s generally accepted that if you’ve received pre-arrival that your eligibility is confirmed, thus they have verified and accept its a genuine (and qualifying) relationship.
Then what is Background check? Where our applications stuck after pre Arrival letter?
Mostly likely criminality and security, although probably final decision from more senior officer once all else is confirmed.
Did they ask you to redo your medical? My bf had his medical March 2020 along with biometrics but due to Covid and delays his medical has expired but Cic havnt said anything about doing a new one they only requested new police check instead
Who extended your medical until 2022? We heard from Vienna as they have my bf application and they said his expired March 2022 yet he had it done March 2020 so I wonder if they are automatically extending medical due to Covid?
My bf had his medical done March 2020 and when we look online still shows awaiting medical results….sooo stressful and confusing it’s been over a year
I only found this out via my GCMS notes but I did my medical in March 2020 too and they extended the validity through until the end of March 2022. I’ve also just been asked for a new police check. It might be worth requesting GCMS notes if you haven’t already and you might be able to check this, although they take 30 days to process.
My bf application has also moved to Vienna from London just not sure why. Still no news but did get a pre arrival letter about 4-6 weeks ago. What happens next?
Next step should be DM once criminality and security has been assessed, which is presumably why they needed a new, valid police certificate.
Yes he has an email stating medical expires March 2022 so they have extended it but just unsure what stage we are at and what’s next. Had pre arrival letter about 6 weeks ago and system still says awaiting medical but they have his medical - was gonna get the notes but hoping by 30 days we hear something . Where are you at? Do you know the process?
