Hello everyone,
My story is quiet complicated I would say.
My partner just got closed Visa for Canada (as a tattoo artist) - as this isn’t job category 0,A orB I know that I can’t ask for my work permit based on his..
We want to travel together in July - I’m not his wife, but the question is : what else (apart of Common Law partner form) do I need.. to enter Canada with him? will I have only visitor visa for the moment right?
Also I have concerns how to apply for my own visa as we arrive? I’m a nanny so that’s my profession and job I would like to stick to. This is super complicated for us and hard to understand the procedures. Would be appreciated if someone know and could help us out pointing what to do next!

Well right now you can’t because of travel restrictions. Where are you from? Are you common law and can prove you have lived together continuously for one year?

You are only eligible for a visitor visa or eta so you need to apply for one. You aren’t elgible for any work visas so not sure what you mean by “apply for my own visa as we arrive.” You need your own LMIA and closed work permit like your partner. Once travel restrictions lift then you can travel to Canada as a visitor but you can’t work.

Alrighty I see.
Also because you are not married, you will need to prove common law. Because he isn’t even in the country yet, getting written authorization to travel may be more difficult. If you were married it may be possible to enter but if he is leaving in July then having a marriage certificate a few weeks old will raise red flags. You aren’t eligible for a work permit. As a UK citizen, you could apply for an IEC or working holiday visa.

Oh dear,
What would you recomend to do now?
tru to apply for authorisation?
You can try to apply for written authorization but it will take weeks for an answer, and your travel most likely is not considered essential. You may need to wait until travel restrictions are eased…not sure when that will be. Also you can’t work in Canada so if you are ok staying for a few months and then returning to the UK, that is all you can do.

Make sure your partner has his 3 day hotel quarantine booked with 11 day quarantine plan.

There is no way for you to easily stay with your partner or even enter Canada since your partner isn't working in NOC 0. A or B. You should be looking for ways to get a WP on your own.
