Sponsoring a dependent Child born outside of Canada to Canadian PR parents

Hi,

My wife and I are both Canadian Permanent Residents,

Long story short,our baby was born in USA as my wife was visiting USA and couldn't travel back to Canada and went into labor there.

Can some one guide me what is the process to sponsor our baby so that the baby can come back to Canada with the mother. What documents would I need for the baby?

The baby is only few days old.

I would really appreciate your guidance.

If your child was born in the US and is a US citizen, then the baby will be able to enter Canada based on their US passport as a visitor.

To get PR for your child, you need to submit a sponsorship application:
