Getting Divorced after Citizenship Applied

Hi,
myself and my husband are going to apply for divorce this month.
Afterwards - at the end of June we are eligible to apply for citizenship.

Please advise whether its ok to state in the citizenship application "married" (we can apply for divorce after citizenship application) and afterwards changed it to "divorced" or its better to state right away "divorced"?

we aren't dependent on each other for citizenship receiving. I am just confused what to do as divorce is taking 3-12 months and meanwhile I would like to apply to citizenship and I am not sure what to state there about my marital status

Until your divorce is approved and finalized.. you’re legally married and therefore, Citizenship application should reflect as such

got it. but when in the middle of the citizenship application processing I got divorced - I probably should send information about changes, shouldn't I?

You can submit a web form to update CIC about any changes. See here
