Hi everyone,

I submitted on the 17th March 2021. My agent says it normally takes 5 months due to the ongoing pandemic. I am really worried. I got this invitation so late. If it is going to get further delayed, I actually don't want it because there is no point. They say even though the normal timing window is 60-90 days as mentioned on Ontario's website, this current situation has made things worse. And, they even say that COPR grant takes 1.5 years - 2 years ? what do you guys think ? should I contact ontario without listening to my agent ?

Regards,

You should get it before 17 June. I read you had ADR situation but that won’t delay it by much best case you should get it next week. COPR is delayed as I heard but 2 years is exaggeration. Since we are PNP ours should be processed within an year because they are expecting all PNP and CEC to be inland applicants. Again this is my theory

Thank You @Cyfa ! Yes, I posted few days ago about ADR etc. While you guys are giving me hope, my agent is making me hopeless. I don't know what is happening. I feel like I should've never gone to an agent.

Congrats to @sussie54 , @Cyfa @mrsamcan , you all helped and guided me well. Many congratulations.

I have some queries;
  1. I am going to join a new job from next week, I will update the EE Profile accordingly. Do I need to send an L.O.E to Ontario to highlight this change in Job? My application is in DIP since 21st May.
  2. Whatever amount I showed in Ontario application is not maintained now due to a number of reasons;
    • I work in the UAE, so the amount shown was in AED, and it changed due to high fluctuations in the rate recently.
    • I spent some amount for personal work like relocating and all for new Job.
    • Can It cause any issue in DIP? or later when I get approval (Insha Allah) from Ontario, then in Federal Processing?
  3. Due to the fluctuation reason mentioned above, can I open an account in CAD now, and start depositing there? They need 6 months statement in IRCC, so my statement will not be maintained for six months, but I can show them that this amount was in AED, but due to rate issues I created another in CAD as I already suffered quite loss due to this conversion...
Any guidance or help is appreciated.
not an expert but my 2 cents
1) I would suggest wait for OINP nomination and update your EE profile after nomination to avoid possible delays due to LOE. Because you are not claiming points for this experience anyway
2) fluctuations I think should be fine they cannot expect us to keep aside this big amount and not touch it. OINP already has bank statements so they should be fine by it and before you apply on ITA make sure you have sufficient or required balance in that account. Ofcourse there should not be big difference or withdrawals which may be suspicious as if this amount was only temporary put in gradual small dif

Look at the timelines here in this group many with ADRs have got nominated within 3 months. So nothing to worry.

@Cyfa has already given right points. One thing I want to add about POF.

POF is make or break factor for immigration. Don't mess with it. So I have created flexible deposits of RD for it. I can withdraw it anytime. But for that I have to do it online. Cash is not readily available.

Always maintain 1k dollar more than the limit to cover fluctuation. For other short emergencies use credit card and pay it off.

Don't make any large transaction in and out around the target fund. 6 months balance is not explicitly required. However it should not look like you are struggling to maintain balance.

Make every effort to save.

Hi Guys,

Got Nominated Today. (01/06). :)

I have a question on points calculation, this was reported by some others too. Not sure of the reason
The original CRS score was 466, got nominated , I accepted it, but total points shows 1051 instead of 1066 (with 600 points added). Any clues on this, why it happens?

Thanks
Congrats

Have you claimed any sibling points(additional points)? As Additional points can max 600 only, hence you may have got 15 less. I would suggest raising a query will make more sense

Hi guys,

I managed to get a status update from my agent after asking for it for so many times. The status is "Waiting for Information". I was asked for an additional document and I submitted it right away. Underneath the status and some common description, it says "Request Date - 04 May 2021", "Due Date - 14 May 2021" and the status of this ADR is "Request Completed".

Does anyone know what this status of "Waiting for Information" means ? There is no red alert icon beside the file number though, it's in blue colour only.
This is not in "Decision in Progress" yet. I am really very tensed.

Thank You in advance

Waiting for information is ADR. Hope the response was uploaded on that as a word/pdf file along with supporting documents.

Normally once you upload it goes to DIP same day. Strange it has taken so long.

Please call OINP or drop an email to OINP and check status.

Thank You for the reply ! I also think we should contact ontario. I was told about ADR only on the evening/night of 8th May(Saturday) and I gave the document to my agent on the 10th May's morning(Monday). But the agent is not willing to contact. They say that is how it goes and it's normal. Is it ok if I contact Ontario ?

Yes you should no harm in asking if any further action is required from you. Man I thought my consultant was the worst but yours have gone a step further. I would say if they are consultants why didn’t they know all the documents required? Ideally you should have never received ADR. I don’t want to add to your worries, but I can empathise your frustration.

True that ! I think we should never go to an agent. I have already made the mistake. The only reason was I did not have enough time and that is why I went to an agent. When I told them that there are people who have been nominated and they got the invitation the day after, they don't believe.

My question is "do you think it's safe to take the profile from them once I get nominated from Ontario, so that I can proceed with the visa application process on my own ? "
