I actually spoke with Alberta health care yesterday as i am in a similar situation with my wife, obviously this only applies to Alberta but if your intention is to reside in canada when you land (presuming the mother is already a PR/Citizen. You are covered from day 1, you may just have to pay out of pocket until you get your health card and then you are entitled to claim everything back to the day you landed.

You have to remain in Alberta for the next 12 months to have coverage and not be asked to pay for any services you've used.

Wiating for DM and PPR. Received pre arrival letter on 25 may 2021. Aug 28 applicant. Biometrics, medical, SA and file number all in march.

Which VO ?

Our application is in Beijing and nothing since March 19th, 2021 since it went in process. We received Biometrics, Medicals and everything before our application was even moved to VO.

I dont know about VO. But in ecas it went to process on 20 april. No update about when VO received the file.
