You should receive it in couple of days. Mine was approved on May 27th and the card was delivered on May 31st.

They renew the PR card when they need a PR card. Otherwise they live their life. PR card can expire without any problems (obviously can't travel etc). Their renewal process is way simpler than eAPR, which usually includes checking if the person has met their residency obligation.
I know some Chinese nationals at work who do this because if they get Canadian citizenship they lose their own Citizenship. So they stay PR.

Someone posted a picture with the delivery durations, so its 5 business days between NS and Toronto

It is 4 days for me including weekends.

they do, on the back of the card. but not sure is it country of birth or nationality

Please submit a web form to get exact update or you can call them. It is rare to get GU for PR card application without linking it. However, anything is possible in IRCC systems, so lets hope as you guessed.

Linking PR Card application;
1. Login into your CIC account as you usually do.
2. Reach the page where you click "Check full application status" to view your application and messages
3. But do not click on that rather click on " Add (link) your application to your account"
4. Select the "Category" from the dropdown as "Permanent Resident Card"
5. Under Application Details, from "Please select one" select "Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Family Name"
6. Put your UCI as it is NO SPACES and NO HYPHES
7. Put your Family Name as on you CoPR - UPPER and LOWER CASE matter here
8. The tricky one, Place of Birth Section. Here "City/town of birth" is very very crucial. Copy it as it is on your CoPR, any commas, upper/lower case, spaces, just copy it here.
9. Select your "Country/territory of birth" from the drop down
10. Next section is pretty easy as you just select your "Date you became a permanent resident" from dropdown. This is the day you did your landing by either flagpole or landing interview
11. Put "Country of Citizenship" and "Current marital status" from dropdowns.
12. Click "Search for my application", if all the inputs are correct then it will show you that the system has found your application. You just have to click Link my application to account and it will now be shown on "View the applications you submitted" page with your Permanent Residency application.
13. If after clicking "Search for my application" it show no application found, click Try again and try to input all the values carefully again. Each day it allows you 5 attempts. It it still doesn't find your application, you can try again the next day.

Hi Mazhar, My COPR document didn't have any details of "City/town of birth" and when I am trying to give the details present in my passport its throwing me an error at the end. So I cant able to link my PR card Application to my CIC account. Could you please suggest what should be done here to link my application. Thanks In Advance

Please try with following options, may be it will match with IRCC systems data :

Please select one (required) - UCI and Family Name
Unique Client Identifier (UCI) (required) - Enter as per COPR Document
Family Name (required) - Enter as per COPR Document
City/town of birth (required) - Try City name, State name e.g. Bangalore, Karnataka
Country/territory of birth (required) - Enter as per COPR Document
Date you became a permanent resident (required) - Enter the date given in COPR document above on the header above UCI#
Country of Citizenship (required) - As per passport
Current marital status (required) - As per your PR application

Really, after sending the Photo how long did it take to get the PR CARD? anybody's timeline can i see to compare?

Mine i got Copr in March and sent the photos Mar 25 still waiting for the update , called IRCC Multiple times and today as well, today they asked me did i send the photos yet, i said yes but unfortunately i did send it with Regular post so no tracking number, they said they dont see the photos yet, but they said may be it was reveived and not udpated, so asked me to wait till August.

i sent my photos to Etibocoke office only and still waiting, any advise what can be done in my case? please advise.

me also facing issue and not able to link my PR card application online.let me know if you guys figured some way , i tried multiple options of UCI , application number etc.. nothing worked
