Information in spreadsheet while re- applying

Guys, I have one quick question while re-applying I have to answer some question in spreadsheet like

Have you previously applied to enter or remain in Canada Yes/ no

I just want to check I should marks as no right since I just applied for my study permit, which got refused. I'm little bit confused, hence seeking suggestion on this info many thanks.

You have to say YES because if you mean they are asking have you applied to enter?! You will have to choose yes.

You should answer Yes and mention the study permit refusal.
