Hi everyone,
My name is May and I am a Thai woman married to a Canadian man. We both got married in Oct 2018 and we wanted to start a new life in Montreal, Quebec where my husband's family is from. We were recently rejected not due to the genuineness of the marriage but due to our intent. Needless to say, we were completely heartbroken as we were planning to start a family once we were on our way to Canada
As I will not be getting my PR for the moment, I am wondering what my options are at this point. I recently found out that I am pregnant so I am wondering whether I should go to Canada now and apply inland? Or should we re-apply again outland to wait for another 12 months and give birth in Thailand while we are covered under our Thai insurance because I am guessing we will not covered in Canada since I will not be a PR but a visitor. If so, do anybody know the cost of giving birth over in Canada? And does anybody know whether I need anything special to re-apply for the outland procedure? Or is it also possibly better to appeal the current decision?
I will need to enter Canada with 180 days left on my passport and visa which will be November 2021. Does anybody know whether this visa can be renewed or since we got rejected one time, I will have a red flag when I re-apply just for the visitor visa?
We don't mind going to Canada later now that we know we got rejected however I do want to raise the family in Canada for the foreseeable future.
Please advise of your lovely thoughts and advices,
I appreciated it greatly
