Employer Support For BC PNP.

After receiving a job offer, I submitted a BC PNP profile last year and was invited to apply. I informed my future employer of the BC PNP Invitation to apply. The employer preferred to apply for a work permit since that is what they did for every employee. I can also understand the appeal to the company of wanting to lock in their workers on a closed work permit.
I still want to apply for the BC PNP program though. I have been doing my research and found out that I can get the corporate documents for my employer though public records.
My question is, can I go ahead and submit a BC PNP profile( I am thinking of EEBC Skilled worker) without explicitly involving my employer. I have job offer documents and I can get the corporate documents and licences from public records. Will this be enough or must my employer be involved in the process? For other BC PNP applicants, what was required from your employer?

No your employer must be involved because there is paperwork that they must submit and sign for you to apply. They have to sign off on the job offer. All employer paperwork is on the website and outlined in the guide.

As said above, unfortunately there's no way to move forward without your employer's direct involvement.

If your employer isn't willing to support, then consider the CEC program as an option once you have a full year of work experience in Canada. Of course FSW/Express Entry is also open to you if you have sufficient points. Good luck.

For planning and family reasons, I wanted to apply now instead of waiting 8 more months for the CEC class. They rarely hold draws for FSW EE anymore, only 1 in the last 2 years. All EE draws are PNP and CEC specific. I guess I have no choice but to try to involve my employer.

Yes - in that case you have no choice but to involve your employer. There's no way to do this on your own if you want to go through the BC program.

FYI - It's incorrect that there has only been one FSW EE draw in the last 2 years. Not sure who told you that. There have been over 10 in the last year (more than that in the last 2 years). Having said that, there have been none in 2021 - so it does make sense to explore other options.
