this is what mine shows. my bio was a little late due to covid. I did it in January 2021. then a long silence. anyone know when will they ask for medical?

COVID. It seems all paper-based applications got affected heavily by the pandemic. With electronic applications IRCC employees were able to work on them from home, but with paper based applications they had to work out a system to get these applications into officers' homes securely. My guess is the process of working from home on paper-based applications was not efficient at all and if they are now back in the office they are likely still playing catch-up.

My application started in December 2019, I gave biometrics in October 2020 and I haven't heard a peep since.... I just want my medical request so that things can move forward

Not bad idea to do upfront medial but in this covid scenario no one know when they will resume our process.

Canada extend restriction up to 21 June.

I called CIC yesterday and the agent said there's one note on my application that I updated my maritus status. He told me everytime if anything changes the officer needs to review.

Plus security is not started yet =.=

i just had a call with my representative yesterday. he told me that everything is working very slow. those files which are already processed fully are still not asked for Medical. so according to him, it will take time and you guys just have to wait with patience. he just added that make sure you got shot of corona vaccination because may be certificate will be required in future to travel canada. so just sharing with you all so you can get the idea about it.

It probably means that your file was trasnferred to another visa office and received there.

Like so many other applicants my status also changed on ECAS " APPLICATION RECEIVED " from In Process.
