You have wasted our time. if you have a score of over 470 then enter the pool. You will not know until you get ITA and apply.
And I don't want to make judgement or be that guy, but that explains why failing three colleges and why it took time for everyone to understand....

I’m more inclined to the OP not being able to explain it properly... 3 colleges and not finishing even one. To think that its rather easy to study here if one is a legit student. The only reason I can think of is that the OP was not serious in his/her study because a) not really into the enrolled program, or b) too preoccupied with the PR application after the intended study. But such students are the reason why it’s getting harder to get an approval nowadays, imho.

Come on! This is just an isolated incident and you passing judgements on VO fairness already. In fact, think about it. OP is really struggling to finish studying and even to simply explain what went wrong. Considering VO are so highly trained they should have been able to identify that he would not be able to complete his studies right ? How did he end up getting a SP in first place ?

Same can be said about you, just because some applicants are experiencing delays in their application and you are passing judgements on VO's unfairness. What most people don't realize is that each application is as different as our DNA, which, even for close relatives, are only similar but never the same. Just think, every year there are more that half a million international students (probably less during this pandemic) across Canada. While some are on more than two years program, the majority are 2-year or 1-year programs. IRCC is not just handling international student application. It is also handling temporary work permit applications such as PGWP and SOWP. Not to mention the number of PR applicant that they need to process.

Quite a number of international students were able to secure approval because their agents were able to pull through. I had a classmate, a fellow international student, who was able to get a study permit for a diploma in computer system, despite only having a layperson's idea on what a computer is. Because his consultant did everything for him, including writing his SOP. He only attended a couple of week before "vanishing" into thin air. Now, I don't understand how anybody can survive elementary and high school without writing an essay. When an SOP is just an essay. Some resorts to working "under the table" to get around the restriction of 20hrs per week. Then, won't attend their classes because they were dead tired from their jobs, resorting to cheating to pass their courses. Is it IRCC's fault? When people try to game the system?

Why do people want to come here? Because people want a better life. If your country is better, you wouldn't think of applying to come here. It would be like "jumping from the frying pan directly into the fire." It doesn't make any sense. So, the question now is: If you think Canada is worse, why insist on applying to come here? What's the point, especially when other countries offer a better deal? Being allowed to come and stay here is a privilege, not a right. Canada is inviting people to come and try to immigrate. But Canada never forced anyone. Inviting is different from forcing. Unless you can prove that Canada did indeed forced you to apply, then that is a violation of your human rights. Is that the case? Canada is far from perfect. Canada can never be perfect. Canada never claimed to be perfect. But it is evolving. And the fact still remains, it is better here than where one came from. Because otherwise nobody won't come here at all.

I agree with you entirely. . Truth be told If IRCC were doing mandatory interview to screen all applicants then half of the applicants wouldnt make it through (majority from Those who cant even right SOP, those asking for the copy of SOP here and those hire consultant to do everything for them)…

Writing sop is not an issue. All can write it but writing a successful sop matters. People wants to know what visa office likes to scan in the sop.

I dont think all can write it, I somehow disagree. And in my opinion, SOP is like an abstract, unique to your particular situation, rather than having same narration that we think is what VO needs to see to give you approval. Unless a consultant was trained IRCC officer thats fine but most of the consultants are “Entrepreneur”, some are in this forum grasping ideas and sell to their client.

There's no such thing as a "successful SOP." An SOP is a "written interview" with the question you know beforehand: "Why do you want to come to Canada to study?" "How would that program help you in your career progression back in your country?" "Why did you choose that particular college/university?"

Anybody could easily answer those questions if they only take the time to assess themselves. As Sun Tzu said: "Know your enemy you win the battle. Know yourself, you win the war."

I hear you and agree with all the problems IRCC is facing. Canada is the only country which is so open to immigration right now hence they should be prepared to have these many applications. If they are not able to process applications then they should stop introducing new programs untill they fix basics.

If they feel people are cheating, let them have a quick telephone interview which can just be matter of few minutes. This will quickly help seperate the good from bad in matter of minutes. You may have been lucky to get SP but think about all of those who had great profiles rejected just because they come from a third world country or VO didnt spend enough time to go through their documents. All I'm asking is a fair review and not put everyone in the naughty list. It is their job and they can't keep blaming pandemic for everything. They need to evolve and find ways to solve rather than just complain.

I totally love and respect Canadian values and I never said anything bad about the country. I dont know why you came to that conclusion. Coming from third world country I totally understand it is a privilege to be there.

I really wish they start doing this. This way at least genuine candidates won't get rejected and everyone will have a fair chance to pursue their dreams.
