@legalfalcon
What will be the point calculation?

I have applied without my spouse for PR to increase the point and got the EOR in January 2020. The application has been aproved according to the agent and waiting for COVID19 restriction.

Now can I change it and accompany my spouse in the application?
You cannot changed your spouse from non-accompanying to accompanying now. Only if you get married, and your family composition changes, only then your eligibility will not be calculated.

If you changed your spouse from non-accompanying to accompanying, it will be subject to re-calculation of your CRs.

Yes in notes 1 to 5 all entries were created on 25 feb and March 9 as for all of us. Under medical section of GCMS there is one entry on 21 April for all of us and that was the day when it got updated on portal.Notes says the following.

Text:
Granted: Reassessment has been granted and a new medical certificate with a validity of 12 months has been
issued in GCMS. Should the applicant not land before the expiry of the medical, a new IME will be required.
Please pick-up this IME number again in order to update the medical validity on the application.
Hi @PSpharwaha , congrats again on your CoPR!
I just received my GCMS notes and I have this same text as you cited above as well. It seems this note is issued not by the officer directly, but by Ottawa HMB. Would you mind checking the date for this exact text on your GCMS (not under the medical section, but near the end of GCMS where all notes are listed)? And what are the notes that follow this note? I would appreciate it very much! (I still don't see any updates in my portal regarding medical extension.) Thanks!

Hi, before May 17 when was the most recent status of the application (e.g eligibility and security)? Also wondering if May 17 was the date when the medical was updated in your account? If yes when was it originally re-assessed and extended? Thanks!
I havent had any ghost updates in my profile for an year and the latest one is at 17th may that is medical renewal date and I didnt do any re-medicals.

Thanks. Did you know when your medical extension was re-assessed and granted? This is typically different from the date it gets reflected in the account. Thanks!

Yes These notes were created by Ottawa HMB and 2 notes are dated 25 feb 2021 regarding my daughters medical and 3 notes dated 9 March 2021 were regarding rest of us. But medicals were only updated online on 21 April when these were reassessed and passed.

Hey guys , finally my time to post COPR timeline , I have been waiting to do this from a long time
Aor - 26 Jan, 2020
First GCMS may 2020 - security not started else everything passed, file in COVID pace group
Complete silence for months , ghost update on October 20 , call centre agent told me everything is passed just wait for the email , nothing for months , GCMS applied in February showed file approved on October 20. Called ircc again but again they said final decision is not yet made , just wait for the email . My medical was expired in Jan 2021. Nothing for months medicals extended on March 23, 2021. Final decision made on April 21, 2021. Received portal email on may 6 , replied on may 7 and received credentials the next day. Submitted picture the same day , got COPR on may 11 . Guys I know it’s really hard waiting , most of us r waiting from so long Nd people applied months after are getting Pr . I joined every group I could find to get updates.I gave up so many times during the process . Best of luck to everyone Nd I m here to answer any of ur queries.
Congrats

There is no right or wrong way, it just pros and cons.

If you get matter and add your spouse to your application, it will take an additional 2-4 months for the processing, and you and your spouse will get a COPR together.

However, if you wait for an approval and then sponsor your spouse, an average spousal sponsorship takes 12 months.

Currently with all the restrictions, it is better that you get married, add your spouse to your application, get a COPR together and travel. It will also save you money in the long run as you won't have to apply for TRVs.
Got it, Thanks for the response.

To add your spouse, you will have to inform IRCC and they will ask you to submit the following forms. IF you have submitted the forms, it may take few weeks for them to be processed and added to your account and another 2-3 moths for your spouse's documents to be verified for criminality, security and medicals.

IRCC will send you the forms and ask for the following documents:

1. An IMM8 Application
2. Schedule A form for spouse
3. Additional Family Information form for primary applicant and spouse.
4. Fee receipt for spouse - Processing fee ($550) and right of permanent residence fee ($490).
5. Birth Certificate of spouse, translation, and affidavit of translation.
6. Copy of Spouse's Passport
7. Copy of marriage certificate and marriage registration
8. Wedding Card and Photographs
9. Police clearance certificate for the primary applicant and spouse
10. Spouse's upfront medical
11. Letter of Explanation (If required)

IF your rep hasn't done it. you can do it yourself by sending a webform.
@ Legalfalcon Thankyou for your reply.. Here I have this question if currently I do not add my spouse to my application as he is already on student visa and studying there. Do I still need to inform IRCC about my marital status if yes then How?? As we will apply for his PR once I reach there as it’s already been 16 months and Are there any complications with regard to changed marital status at the time of landing? Recently somebody told to go back just because of changed marital status..

Hi @legalfalcon

What about, me and my fiance (who is my dependant on the application) decided to get married from our common-law partnership?
All along he's already included as a common-law partner and accompanying spouse. We initially wanted to get married there but since everything is uncertain we decided to just move on with our lives while waiting. Would that matter so much on my application to change from common law to married?
