We received a letter stating
"It has been determined that you have met the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class. Please note that a final decision will not be made until all remaining requirements for becoming a permanent resident have been met. These requirements include medical, security and background checks ....." and continues. We were told this is stage 1 approval and our status when we check the online portal now says "Decision Made". What does this mean? Does this mean we should be expecting the landing interview soon?

It's sponsor approval (SA) which is the first part after AOR not AIP which is almost the last part close to decision made. Sometimes SA and AIP it can be confusing. When you check the online portal, there are 2 parts:1- Sponsor et 2; Applicant . If it is on the applicant side, it is AIP.

So we received the sponsor approval months ago and were told that this is the first stage approval from our lawyer. On the online portal when I put in our info it says decision made next to my fiancé's name (The person being sponsored). I do not see two parts though, I can only see his name and "Decision Made".

If you see decision made on the applicant's side.. Yes you make it.... It was AIP actually.

It is AIP, it says you're eligible to apply for permanent residency.
No, like the poster said.... There is a «Decision made» on the applicant's side on the portal, not at the sponsor side which already had a decision made as well. This means his PR application is accepted which is AIP. He will be receiving soon the passport request if outside or COPR if inland.

We applied inland, does this mean our next step will be to go for the landing interview?

Probably not, it can be the CoPR right in front of the door since they wave the interview during the pandemic.
Wait really? This has been happening during the pandemic? They have been coming to the front door? Would they at least let us know beforehand?

I think they email the COPR (or snail mail if they did not contact you via email) to you and skip the in person interview. I didn't keep track of the current landing process during the pandemic.
But I think that's the final step.

Congrats!

In the first post OP stated they received a letter saying :"It has been determined that you have met the eligibility requirements to apply for permanent residence as a member of the spouse or common-law partner in Canada class"

Which is the letter for AIP.

You are right, after reading the OP's message, I feel confuse between decision made, meet requirement to apply for PR. I can't determine exactly which step OP is exactly in since his post is a little bit confusing.
