Hi folks

Can someone help us understand some indication of timeline AFTER submitting fingerprint requests the SECOND time? The second FP request came after we finished our tests and passed in May 1st week.

Same here, looks like criminality expired and they need another one to pass criminality. I sent it and they received it.
Try to ask the office to send it to your address and don’t open the envelope. Then send it through tracking. I did that and all was done in 3 weeks.

Hey guys, did the background check section of the application change from "completed" to "in progress" when IRCC asked for a second set of fingerprints?

It does change to in progress. Once IRCC receives new fingerprints and then it goes back to completed.
Thanks. I noticed that the status of the background checks had been set to "complete" the day the first set of fingerprints was received more than a year ago. Now, almost a month after finishing my test, and two days before my interview, I noticed that the status of the background checks have been set back to "in progress" again. I'm pretty sure that's because the first set of fingerprints are now expired and I'm going to be asked to submit fingerprints again, but IRCC's procedures are difficult to predict.

thats correct. fingerprints results do expire after 1 year. Hence, the reason they ask for another set of fingerprints results. fingerprints need to be valid until you become a citizen i believe.
