There is someone that I know that worked in Nova Scotia for 3 years as a transport truck driver. He applied for the Nova Scotia PNP Express Entry program last year, received his nomination, submitted all of the necessary documentation and had everything required up until his medical exam. Because of the pandemic, the Sydney offices were closed so he couldn't get his medical exam.

His job offer just expired December 2020 and he went back to Mexico -- but his work permit is still valid till September of this year. Can he still get his medical exam? How can he let them know because of the massive delay of the pandemic, that he was unable to get the medical exam?

Keep in mind his job offer expired. Technically he could've gotten his medical exam way before his job offer expired but because of the pandemic - it delayed things.

What stream. So if he doesn’t have a job offer, isn’t that a requirement for the PNP process to continue. It doesn’t matter if he still has a work permit. Does he still have a job offer.

He literally had everything - he just needed his medical exam, but was delayed because of the pandemic last year.

Call NS PNP, because you don’t say which stream as there are several. And he should have contacted NS PNP months ago to ask about an an extension to the medicals. Not sure what Sydney offices have to do with his inability to get a medical.

It is the Nova Scotia Experience - Express Entry stream. Yes, he should have but didn't really know what to do. At this time, because his job offer expired can he still go for his medical exam?

Again call and see if his application is even accpeted anymore. There must have been timelines as it has been almost 6 months. His ITA may have elapsed. He has had 6 months to do a medical.
