BIL not received. 48 hours and counting

I applied for Visa (SDS) on 15th May(India). I received a ghost update next day at 2:30PM IST. But I haven't received Biometric Information Letter .
Is it usual under Covid ? Is anyone else waiting for this long for the same ?

BIL is usually sent max 24 hours after your application is submitted. But VFS is closed in India and you can't provide biometrics anyways.

Yup and that is the concern here. Have there been any similar cases in last lockdown where they just didn't release BIL till VFS were not opened ?

I don't think so. You can read posts from other Indians who got BIL but can't give their biometrics. Did you say No when asked whether you have provided biometrics in the last 10 years ?

I cannot seem to find that question in any IMM forms. Was it in the starting questionnaire that we fill in visa portal ?

My brother also applied on 15may and nothing after that.

This is in genera what people refer here as ghost update, it only signifies a movement in your file an another more. The movement can be a minor one such as transfer of your file from one VO to another, or a major one, such a passing of a stage.

No need to be concerned, many applications will see 2-5 ghost updates during processing.
