Hi There,

just to share our experience with you guys and learn from yours :)
I'm living in Montreal Quebec and sponsoring my wife in Syria.
we are in the middle of the process, got the approval and they ask us to request the CSQ from Quebec which we did early this month.
our file has been transferred to Amman (we didn't expect that)
just a quick time line info :
application sent first week on NOV 2020 and they started working on it on the 5th.
we received the approval on the April 22nd 2021

is there anybody else at the same situation: from Syria and processing in Amman?
Thanks
My husband is from iraq and his application has been moved to amman last March. May i know if you receive a Medical req?

no medical request yet, since we are in Quebec so we have a different process, we just received a confirmation from Quebec that they are processing our request.

Does anyone know if the embassy is still working? They requested some documents and we sent them in December and no answer since then
I tried emailing them few times and tried with my MP but still complete silence
Our application is since September 2019 and this is complete bullshit to take this long with no answer

Sorry to hear that. Seems like they are working since the previous batch got their passport back. Unfortunately, they are just ultimately super slow......

Do you know how long does it take to get a PCC from the Iraqi consulate here in Canada ? That's so complicated compared to the French PCC.

Hi, we have almost the same time line,
except we didn't receive any letter from Quebec to say they are processing our file.
but yeah we are waiting now for the CSQ and we will see the next step.
are you also affected to Amman Visa office right?
do you have an idea about how does people send passport from Syria to Amman? my wife is from Homs and we didn't expect they will send us to Amman because Beirut was very close and easy to go there by car in few hours.
Thanks

i really have no ideaa how we are gonna send the passport but i dont think its gonna be hard dont worry. probably they will explain everything in the email when we will get the ppr :)

did she do her biometrics tho or not yet? my husband did them in lebanon

and your suppose they get a letter from quebec by mail and in this letter theres ur receipt and proof that they took money from your credit card and that they will process on your file

Yes she went to Beirut for the Biometric, but it was part of a visit visa that is still pending :s
we didn't get the letter from QC but I saw in my credit card statement they took the money.
do you have an idea about the IVM? we contacted a doctor in Damascus and he told us he use to do that.
I think its better than going to Beirut for that.

I didnt get the medical request but my husband will definitly do it in syria. He called a doctor in damascus and said the cost was around 650 alf maybe more but its still less expensive than lebanon. coz lebanon your gonna have to do the corona test and pay for the road and all the extra. not worth it at all.
