Issue date of study permit and visa will be DIFFERENT Whereas expiry will be SAME.
Hi Maaayankkk, thank you for clearing that. Another query is my course ends in April 2023 and my Visa also ends in April 2023. Accordingly my study permit will also end during that time as you said. So do I have to extend Visa and study permit as there is no time to apply for my work permit?

You will have enough time to apply for your Post Graduate Work Permit after your study finishes. You can also apply for a a TRV after your study finishes which will allow you to visit your country of origin or any other country and re-enter Canada.

You will be running out of status if your permit expires same time as your studies. You either consider fast track your last semester or change status and apply for pgwp when your results are out. But if you get results and letter from school within same month April 2023, apply immediately

A study permit is usually valid for the length of your study program, plus an EXTRA 90 days. The 90 days let you prepare to leave Canada or apply to extend your stay.

During this 90 days you can apply for your PGWP and you can work full-time while you are waiting for a decision on your PGWP.

Thanks maaayankkk, I guess I will not have to extend, even if my study permit expires as I will get 90 days extra to apply for my pgwp.

As I mentioned before you will be able to finish your studies long enough before your study permit expires. Those 90 days are already included in the validity of your study permit,

Also, if for some reason you think that you are finishing your course later than expected, you can always apply for a study permit extension
And your study permit extension will also have enough time for you to apply for your PGWP.

Make sure to take summer school and try to finish your course in the least possible time and while doing so make sure you maintain a full-time status which is very important when you will apply for your PGWP later on.
