My eligibility has been passed by an officer in January 2021 as confirmed by the call center agent. But the security has not been initiated till date. Is there any reason behind this or my eligibility has not been passed? My AOR is January 2020. Really confused. @legalfalcon
Lately there have been delays due to staffing issues. Many applications have been put on hold or just delayed. RCMP screening, medicals all have backlogs.

Hi @legalfalcon , I received AOR on May 7 2021, I submitted all required documents. However, I would like to send some additional documents. But, when I raised CSE, there is a space to fill UCI number. I know that my UCI number is just temporary UCI (CANXXXX). Can I raise CSE without UCI or still wait until I have permanent UCI? I am worried that may be IRCC will not receive my additional documents without proper UCI.

Thank you for your help.

UCI is not mandatory. You can sent the CSE just with your application number.

@legalfalcon Good day, do you of know of any instance where IRCC officers might've sent a request for a document that does not apply to me? I read your answer above to someone regarding IRCC deeming criminality passed upon PCC and RCMP based off biometrics. I have submitted biometrics already and I was asked for RCMP clearance. Wouldn't the same logic apply where they check criminality with biometrics they already have in the system?

For the criminality to be passed, it has to be based on PCCs and the RCMP report based on the biometrics. However, in many cases even after the reports are in they may not have been marked as opposed by an officer and thus you see it as in progress.

Irrespective of whether criminality is passed or not, other stages will continue to be progressed.
Thanks, @legalfalcon for the quick reply. To understand further, few more queries:
1) what are the scenarios under which an officer opposed the reports
2) how the process moves forward (i.e. what's the next step) when it's being opposed by the officer
3) If I ordered the GCMS Notes, Can I see the officer comments related to Criminality?

Note 2 is by a CPA. For the eligibility to be conclusively passed, it will have to be marked a passed by an officer and a note will be entered, which will look like this: #4,004

In most cases only after eligibility is conclusively passed, will the security be initiated.

Security only starts after the eligibility is conclusively passed for most applicants.

If your eligibility is conclusively passed, then if your security has not been initiated, it soon will.

The security at an average takes 110 days as per the security screening manual. It can take longer or less, based on many factors such as whether you are inland, subject to record check or comprehensive security screening etc.

To read more on security and the security screening manual, see https://bit.ly/2SSLBuL

As regards note 1, that is verification of your personal and physical information, i.e. your height, eye colour etc.
Great, thanks for the quick reply.

Since my AOR is Aug 2020, why does it taking too long to reach and get passed by an officer ?

Is there anything i should do in this situation?

Also, is there a chance they might have initiated security in the background, cause last time i called the call center agent said it may happen in the background....

As regards PCCs IRCC can ask or additional documents or PCC and even have you get your fingerprints done. If your biometrics were done a while ago, IRCC can ask you for getting a new updated RCMP PCC.

1. If there is criminal record.
2. It will be determined whether the criminal inadmissibility applies based on what crime you were charged.
3. There are no comments based on criminal admissibility unless there is something related to a crime.

IRCC is experiencing delays in general. It is not only for your application.

Hello @legalfalcon

My COPR/PR Visa is expiring on 31st May 21.
When can I expect IRCC to contact me regarding new PPR request?
Do I need to raise a webform to inform about the expiry and request instructions or it doesn't matter?

TIA

If you are outside Canada, IRCC will contact you only after travel restrictions have been relaxed and you are eligible to travel. If by then your PR visa / COPR expires, no need to be concerned, as IRCC will issue you a new PR visa / COPR.

Hi @legalfalcon,

Need your help in understanding the consequences:

Aug 2020 - AOR, Eligibility - Conclusive Passed, Criminality - In Progress

In CRS, I included the 50 points for the Job Offer from my current employer. Due to the pandemic, my employer planning for lay-off which means I might not have the job offer. Since my eligibility is conclusively passed. Can I change the job by applying for the BOWP?
