Ok thank you very much for your help! We have photos (on social media as well), messages, etc. To prove our relationship.

Just in case they reject the TRV, will it hamper my PR application in any way?
No, it will have no impact on your PR. See #5,143

Following the same. I am in Canada and my husband is in Dubai. We applied for visit visa in Dec 2020 and finished with biometrics. Last week I raised a webform to ask authorization letter and today I received a response saying that I can contact the AbuDhabi office as our file is in UAE embassy. Now my question is are there any people here who sent a request to the embassy to process the application quickly. Which email address to send and in how many days they will respond. Also please help me in mentioning the important things in the email so that they process the application quickly.

Your help is much appreciated.

Thank you

Hi,

1. We applied for a visit visa using the instructions in the below link:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/visa.html

Step 2: Fill out the form
When answering the question on the application form about the purpose of travel, enter the following information exactly as written to make sure your application is prioritized:

  • For question 1 a) purpose of travel, choose “other” from the drop-down menu.
  • For question 1 b) description field, write “COVID-19” exactly like this (you must use capital letters).

2. Completed the below:

Link to PHAC Application:

https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/2019-novel-coronavirus-infection/latest-travel-health-advice/compassionate-entry-limited-release-from-quarantine.html

  • Download the Letter of Required Support Form (PDF). --- This needs to fill and sign by your doctor (Family or Gynecologist)
  • This application process is for foreign nationals who will be entering Canada and staying in their place of quarantine for the full 14-day quarantine period to:
    • be present during the final moments of life for a loved one
    • provide support or care to someone who’s critically ill
    • provide care for a person who has a medical reason as to why they require support --- this applicable to us
  • You can apply using the Application for Entry Form. Make sure you have everything you need before starting. You won’t be able to save the form for completion later.
    1. Fill out all required fields on page 1 of the application.
      • There are 2 pages in total. Clicking ‘Next’ to get to page 2 doesn’t submit information or your application.
    2. Attach the Letter of Required Support Form or proof of death on page 2 of the application.
    3. Submit your application through the secure portal.
      • You’ll receive an immediate message indicating, 'Submission completed successfully.'
  • You’ll also receive a receipt email with an application number.

Your application will be assessed by the Public Health Agency of Canada. We’ll confirm that your request meets the requirements for entry for compassionate reasons.

Note:
1. If you applied for a visit visa already, while submitting PHAC approval: just select the option (applied for visitor visa) and enter UCI Number. You will receive a single entry TRV visa in a week.
2. My in-law completed Biometrics in Dubai but I think if anyone has PHAC approval they don't have to give biometrics.
3. I have not sent any email to CIC.

Thanks
are you sure on "if anyone has PHAC approval they don't have to give biometrics"?

Sorry i am not aware about UAE specific email address to speed up visa process. Most of people who got response followed the same webform method that given on the link.

@sb0821 : Thank you so much for ya explanation.
My mother does not have a visitor visa although she got the PHAC Approval.
Now, we have email cic for the letter to travel or give visa. As, PHAC has just approved to travel exemption and without visa or approval letter she cannot travel.
Did you get the visa approved?

Do the below:

**************My in-law completed Biometrics in Dubai but I think if anyone has PHAC approval they don't have to give biometrics.

If you already applied skip step#1
great work on laying out the process.... really appreciate your time! a few questions:

1. how did you submit the PHAC approval to CIC?
2. do you know someone who had PHAC approval and didn't get the biometrics done but still got the visa approved?
3. For Biometrics, can we make an emergency case under "Critically ill immediate family member residing in Canada" per VAC guidelines by showing PHAC approval?

Hello Everyone. Need some guidance here. I am applying for visitor visa for my Mother-in-law to come to Canada in Sep-Oct this year. Primary reason is we are expecting our second child in Nov. Need clarification for below points:
1. What shall I keep the duration of her visit in the form?
2. What shall I mention as purpose of travel?
3. for Proof of funds there are 2 sections:
a. Proof of Financial Resource of Supporter - in this section do I need to upload my pay stubs and bank statements?
b. Proof of Means of Financial Support - whose details will come in here? Do I need to provide my mother-in-laws bank statement and property details here?
4. What details should be mentioned in Invitation letter?

Depends on the reason you received PHAC. For pregnancy there were a few initial PHAC where biometrics weren't required but after the first few applications biometrics were required.

Thanks for the response.
I am confused whether I should say that she does not need financial support or she needs. She has some amount in her Bank account and lot of FDs. Will the Bank Statement and FD statement work? Also, she has rental income from a shop and the house is on her name. She is widowed. So, all those ownership deed will suffice and financial status?

In general visitors are supposed to show that they can support their own travels. Would attach proof of all her savings account, proof of rental income and deed with hopefully some estimate of the value of the property. You can include your accounts and NOA in addition to her information.
