Maybe because you have contacted them yesterday ? and so they have updated ur profile in tracking system. Any thoughts ?

I just checked mine and no updates yet. Its still the same which is last updated April 28, 2021. I hope I get an update soon

I think update is case by case . Mine shows updated april 23rd.

On the cic website they say they're finalizing applications from may 2019.
So maybe another year till i get the oath??

There's just too much variability in the system to make any accurate predictions - there are some 2018 applicants who are still waiting, but I also saw someone mentioning a friend who applied in June 2020 and got done already. This is just my guess - there's also the possibility of staff increase or productivity increase through better work-from-home tools, or returning to office. All in all, no one really knows haha

The tracker updated today and according to it my citizenship ceremony is on may 31st
It says you will receive emails for instructions which i suppose i will get today.

Dec 3 2020 - applied online
Feb 3 - AOR
Feb 24 - test invite
Mar 3 - test complete
Mar 9 - Background verification complete
Mar 30 - Language, Physical presence, Prohibitions complete
May 13 - Citizenship oath ceremony status In Progress
Jun 2 - Oath date
I did not receive any requests for interview or FP
