Hi , i just got GCMS notes today , it says it is Test Ready , since April 15 , but i didn't receive any email for Test yet , any idea how long it will take until i get the test Invite ?
Really depends on your local office, can't say for sure. As you can see, mine took 12 months, and even some July 2019 applicants didn't receive their test invites yet. o_O Hope you will be one of the lucky few.

There are quite a few people with 'Test Ready' status. In fact, I have seen several people who have been test ready since early 2020 are just now getting test invites.

Test ready means that your application has completed the minimum number of checks and the applicant can be issued a test invite if the local offices wishes so. Some local offices work quicker and more efficiently than others. For example, for September 2020 applicants, Vancouver and Montreal offices seem to be doing a good job. Mississauga office, on the other hand, not so much. Mississauga office is far behind in issuing test invites (I think I posted a stat earlier from the IRCC corporate records I obtained via ATIP => Mississauga office had more than 10,000 applications ready for testing as of late Jan but had issued less than 300 test invites).

I expect this timeframe between test ready status and the test invite to shrink significantly in the near future provided there are no other factors that might affect it (like additional checks/document requests/fingerprints etc causing the application to become non-routine).

in Second page , File location , it says Test Ready in my case . Looks potentially still long wait considering Halifax office is slow and we are under lock down in Nova Scotia :(

Just a note to say that at the top right of the tracker page it says:

Updated: April 23rd, 2021

However this seemingly is when the tool itself was last updated. I have seen other users mention the same date, plus the fact that my application history section, the most recent date is March 5th when my background verification was completed.

So the top right date is not when your application/tracker record was updated.

Mine and my wife's BG check is "completed", but somehow our minor son's BG check is still "In Progress". I assume all his parameters shall be marked "completed" in one go at the end of the process. Because, many of them don't apply to him. Right?

Slow as a turtle! We need this to start jumping forwards months, not days! I totally have sympathy for 2019 applicants. Applying right before the pandemic hit is unfortunate. For us who applied during it, we have to then compete with those who applied in 2019. I'm happy for those who applied first to be processed first, however if they process them linearly then us September 2020 applicants will soon have been waiting as long as 2019 applicants.

Another consideration is COVID is more of a problem in certain parts of the country. So once the file is sent to local visa office, then the timelines will vary as right now COVID in Calgary is bad compared to say out east. I think it would be better if all applications were processed in one location.

Thankyou. Could you pls share the link for ordering atip notes from ircc and csis. Also in how many days we will be getting these notes.
I made a huge mistake in my application by putting my name in given name and leaving last name blank. They have not returned my file or asked anything. My background check is in progress. Any way to correct it?
