Hi everyone, I recently got an invitation in EE as a skilled work experience and I filled out all the information including self-employed work experience in

the review section, so I am in the stage in which I need to submit documents. However, I can see "Records of employment" section for this self-

employed work experience. So I tried to gather the documents and I knew that the name which I filled out is different from the name in the contract and

T4A, I wrote the company name as For example "A" because I saw this name on recruiting site like "Indeed" when I got hired and I also saw this name on

the company's official site and people also call this name.

However, the name "B" in my contract and T4A is different from what I wrote which is " A"

The company explained they ( A and B ) are in a sister-company relationship.


In this case, what should I do?

should I have to give up this invitation to fix the name.? Because I am in the stage of submitting documents.

Is it possible for me to change the name of the company at this stage?

Do I just include explain letter?. Or do I just need to mention both names in the letter which the company will give me?

I think a Letter Of Explanation could help you in this situation. Try to include proof as well. I hope this would be enough.

Thank you for your answer. The company gave me a letter which mentioned both names like XXX worked for A (B). Should I have to write explanation

letter in this case? to clarify? and is it work for me to explain by myself? or do I need to get an explanation from the company?

Another question is the working hours which company wrote is more than what I wrote, for example, I wrote 40 hours but the letter explain 44 hours, is it ok?

All you have to do is explain it in LoE with supporting documents. You can also change the name post ITA, and it will make so difference.

If you are uploading the documents, you can go back and change the name of the company. and then click on continue to come to the upload page.

The LoE has to be written by the applicant, and you can attach supporting documents to your LoE.

Thank you for your answer. I have other questions related this.

( I wrote the company name as A )

( B name is on T4a and invoices)

Q1, The company gave me a letter which is equivalent to "Letter of employment" in the letter. The letter explains "OOO worked as self-employed for A (B)".

They said I can explain that B is a subsidiary of A. In this case, do I still need to write LOE? and change the name?


Q2, Another question is about the working hours. They wrote as 44 hours in the letter but I wrote as 40 hours in Online, is it ok for me not to change it, or do I have to fix based on what they wrote which is 44 hours? Because I have enough working hours, so it is not important for me whether 40 or 44 hours, I just worry about changing something might be a bad effect. So again, is it ok for me not to change it, or do I have to change?
