Hi Seniors,

I came in mid-March 2018. I am about to file my Citizenship in a week.

I have filed my taxes in Canada for 2018 ,2019 and 2020 but I just realised that I did not report my foreign income earned in my home country for theses years. Its in the range of:

- 2018 :5500 CAD
- 2019 :2000 CAD
- 2020: 2000 CAD

Does it pose a problem? Do I have to mention it in the letter of explanation.

Regards

Then you file a T1 Adjustment with the CRA to report the undeclared income

Thanks Copingwithlife.

Just for your information , I have paid taxes for my income in India (my home country) for 2018, 2019, even though I am here in Canada since 2018.
I have got the tax return papers from my home country, for these years. Therefore, out of ignorance I did'nt report my Indian income , in Canada. And also since the amount of income in India is not very high

I have already filed my income tax for 2020 with the CRA on 30th April 2020 .And I plan to file citizenship next week i.e 3rd week of May 2020.
When should I file a T1 ?

-Before I file my citizenship i.e right now ?
OR
-I may apply for citizenship first and can file T1 Adjustment later parallelly
OR
-File T1 adjustment next year when I file taxes for 2021.

Is this mistake such a big thing that my application can land in trouble ? Am a bit worried about this blunder.
