Visa rejection (Need Help on next steps)

Hello everyone,
Unfortunately My visa got rejected yesterday with the usual 2 comments as below:

- I am not satisfied that you will leave India at the end of your stay.
- Your proposed studies are not reasonable in light of...

My profile:
I have applied for Applied Manufacturing Management- Design Integration (Conestoga) (2Years PGD)

I did my diploma in Automobile and later Btech in Automobile engineering. I scored top of my diploma batch ranking 3rd with no backlogs. Due to some uncertain reasons I didn't pay much attention in btech & got 5 backlogs in 5th semester. Due to this i got detention for a year.
But I was so depressed that I didn't give exam for the next year also, due to which 1 more year detention. Now if we count all these the total backlogs stand around 26. But after that in my all the core subjects in last 3 semester, i again scored good with A & B grades.
Other than this I have shown proper funds to support me for next year.
I have 5 years of experience in Automobile manufacturing field. Even the 2 years during which I was detained, i worked in the same company.
What should i do next? Need a proper guidance

Get your GCMS notes. It will be more specific.

You need ties to India. Jobs upon return, property, spouse, things that give you a reason to want to be there and not in Canada.

You need a letter of explanation and statement of purpose. You need to address anything named in the GCMS notes, and explain why you want that program, how it will help your career, how it will make you more money than you would make back home, and why it will be useful when you return to India.

Understand - while you likely want to stay (nearly everyone does), a study permit is a permit to study, for legit students. He needs to be convinced you are a legit student. Any staying in Canada after is a nice bonus - a study permit is for you to get a degree, and that degree needs to be useful, make sense, and be worth more than the cost.

If you are not looking to study, then you don’t get a study permit.

I did mention about my spouse and that she will be staying here to prove that i will return back. Also my parents.
I also did mention that how my previous education was disrupted due to detention and now this degree will help me to fill my past gaps & enrich my current career

Yes i did attach a SOP mentioning my current & future plans. However i did mention in that i had a 2 year drop in btech due to detention. Could it be a reason for rejection?

But you might want to stay in Canada to support her. You need to demonstrate more ties, and a plan to return, especially if you ultimately won’t.

Ok. So, you let your education get disrupted (which makes you look less genuine). Why Canada? Why this program and not one in India? Why not online? What does this get you?

Can you suggest what else could i mention? It would be a great help, since I am much worries

Ok. So, you let your education get disrupted (which makes you look less genuine). Why Canada? Why this program and not one in India? Why not online? What does this get you?

I did mention that studying in canada would make a much difference in the profile due to International degree. And canada is very student friendly & some more things like that.

Ok understood. What should i do now? A any suggestions what needs to be mentioned?
Is it possible to get a visa if i had 2 years gap in my B.Tech. since i didn't attend exams couple of times, the total backlogs count to 26.
Awaiting your response

I had a 5-6 year gap in my education, and had been to 6 schools over 10 semesters. What ultimately matters is convincing the officer that you are genuine. Showing you don’t take school seriously hurts your case. In my case, I was able to demonstrate that I had a commitment to my studies (despite setbacks), and that I took classes for fun. Even though it was weird, I had the finances to justify it, and the history for it, and was able to convince the officer.

If I were in your position, I would try to write a very convincing and honest letter about why things are different, why Canada makes sense, why the program makes sense, and where I’m trying to go. To prove ties, I’d want to provide specific examples and reasons why a Canadian degree makes sense, how it would help me, and what I have done to make sure that I’ve set myself up for success. I’d write a letter asking for reconsideration, making sure to hit on every point mentioned in the GCMS notes.

And if that didn’t work, I’d start taking online courses to demonstrate that I could succeed, show that I’ve resolved the factors that led to my academic problems in the past, and apply for another study permit based around that.
