I am a religious worker under section R186(L), I don't have a work permit, I do not get any pay stubs or T4, can I apply for express entry ? I have been working in Canada for the last 3 years.

How are you paid?

I get the money deposited into my Canadian account monthly.

If you aren't receiving a T4, this would generally mean you are classified as being self-employed.

This generally means you can apply for PR if you qualify - but not under Canadian Experience Class. Self employed work experience cannot be used for CEC.

I that case I can be a religious worker in the category of self- employed?

No - the self employed immigration stream is only for very specific occupations like those in the arts.

So what will be your advice for my to apply for Permanent Residency ?

You may be able to apply under FSW / Express Entry. Have you taken IELTS or CEPIP? Have you had your education officially assessed? Have you calculated how many points you have under EE?

Yes I have taken IELTS - Speaking - 8.5, Reading 7, Listening 7, Writing 6.5, I have evaluated education with WES - 2 bachelors degree. Your advice is that I should apply for the FSW or Express Entry ?

How have you been filing taxes for the past 3 years? Have you been renewing your status in Canada?

Yes, but my NOA does not show any income since I do not get any T4 or paystub.

You still need a WP even if you are a religious worker. How did you arrive in Canada? Visitor? How are you working or filing taxes without a SIN#?

On my passport its stamped WX-1 but I got a visitor record with visa for a 4 year period with clause R186(L) along with a SIN NO at the point of entry, visa expires in June 2022.

It sounds like you've been misfiling your taxes. Your NOA should show income.

You still need to declare your income even if you aren't getting T4s or payslips.
